Vision
We believe that successful schools focus on the following areas:
1. Quality teaching
2. High expectations
3. A positive culture
4. Family engagement
5. Student well-being
6. Data-driven decisions
7. Innovation
8. Avoiding common pitfalls by addressing individual needs
9. Embracing change
10. Supporting teachers and students
Our vision as a school community is to build the conditions for staff and pupils to embrace learning opportunities and connect their insights to real world scenarios. Simply put, for staff, pupils and parents to foster a sense of curiosity. The 10 areas listed above remain a constant compass to steer us toward achieving excellence and focus on the things that really matter in schools.
Aims
We have summarised this vision into 4 context related and more specific categories. These 4 categories have become our main school aims. These are | 1. Fostering curiosity | 2. Offering wider opportunities | 3. Responding to the needs of pupils | 4. Developing confidence
Mission Statement | Tag-line
In order to work toward our vision, we have worked as a staff to make our aims clear, accessible and easy to understand. We have created the tag-line below, which is deliberately set out as an acrostic poem that is easy to remember and directly linked to our school name.
